Plans for the 2009 Reunion

Please tell us which events you would like to have at the 2009 Reunion at Post Falls, Idaho.

  • Tour of Farragut State Park & Museum with a BBQ luncheon afterwards (Farragut NRTC processed almost 300,000 "Boots" from 1942 through 1945; your Historian can't help but wonder if any of them served aboard the Fiske)
  • Tour of Buck Knife factory and a visit to Cabela's new store in Post Falls
  • Dinner Cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene
  • Visit to Coeur d'Alene Casino (Video slots only, but a lot of them.  And a buffet)
  • Dinner theater in Coeur d'Alene
  • Shopping trip to Cold Water Creek's flagship store in Sandpoint, Idaho (Ladies only - this will be scheduled to take place during the Association Business meeting on Saturday)

There are three nearby golf courses that are available for a foursome or two for an early morning round. I've been told that one of them, Circling Raven, has GPS units on the carts because it is so big! If there are any real big spenders that want a real challenging round there is one local course that has a "floating green" out on the lake. Better bring your platinum card and your waders for this one!!
